The colder weather has finally arrived and we are already looking forward to a warmer time. Bear Crossing 2 is only 9 months away and planning is getting underway. Our very first Bear Crossing event was such an overwhelming success that we can’t wait to make BCKC 2015 even bigger! If you would like to be involved on the planning committee for Bear Crossing 2: The Sequel, now is your chance to get involved! If you’re interested in helping to plan and put on next Summer’s event, please be sure to send Matt Stanley (mstanley@kcbearmafia.org) a message to let him know, and he will get you added to the committee and update you on when the next meeting is. WE’RE EXTENDING THE DEADLINE TO PRE-REGISTER FOR BEAR CROSSING UNTIL AUGUST 1ST!
We’ve heard from a few folks who wanted us to give them until Friday to register for Bear Crossing KC so we will keep registration open an extra day. Still on the fence? We have volunteer opportunities still available to get your run pass for only $45!
After August 1st you will only be able to register in person for $125 for the whole weekend. Still a great deal but you won’t get a t-shirt!
Also, we will be at Bear Bust at Hamburger Mary’s Kansas City this Saturday at 9pm selling our famous pudding shots and giving you a chance to purchase individual passes to FURNADO and SPLASHDANCE. So come and join us, watch some hot bear jello wrestling and get ready for BEAR CROSSING!
Great news! We have a backup hotel! Keep trying to get in at 816 Hotel as they have had some cancellations but if you can’t get a room there we’ve negotiated a back up hotel! Hampton Inn Kansas City-Country Club Plaza can be reached by calling 816-448-4600 and be sure to mention Bear Crossing our use our event code which is BC8. The rate is $115 per night for either 2 double beds or 1 king. If you have purchased a full run pass for Bear Crossing we will pick you up at your hotel. The Hampton Inn is a little over half a mile away from 816 Hotel. Please let us know if you have any questions!
ONE WEEK until we close stop accepting pre-registration for the full run package and start getting ready to open the doors for BEAR CROSSING! We just received word that our host hotel 816 Hotel is *SOLD OUT*! We never expected this so we are looking into an overflow hotel. You definitely don’t want to miss the very first Bear Crossing! If you don’t get registered for the full run pass by July 31st you can still register at the door for $125 but you will not get a free t-shirt!. A la carte pricing will be available until Thursday August 14th.
